Joshua Tree

Went to Joshua Tree with my girlfriend. Aw man is that place ever fun! Since my girlfriend is a beginner to climbing, and I’m a newer trad leader we didn’t do anything hard, but the climbs we did were AMAZING! We started on some simple single pitch routes the first day to get used to the rock. The most notable climb the first day was “Diagnostics”. It’s a 5.6 fun juggy layback crack that was super fun. Then, after seeing the “Aguille De Joshua Tree” in the guide book, I decided that I needed to climb it…

The second day we got the adventure on. We started the morning on a climb called “The Eye”. It is a 5.4 100 footer… super fun, at the top you climb through a tunnel that exits onto the top of a big rock formation. Then we got on “The Swift”. It’s a 5.7 3 Pitch Route that’s about 350 feet tall. What a great adventure! I miss climbing there… The friction was unreal. Someday I hope to return…

I made this video last spring and thought I would save it for a rainy day. I walked up the hill from Multiple Personalities to the big crack. It’s a fun line that I climbed at least 6 times for all the angles. Same with multiple personalities… Geez… Making videos is a lot of work…
